Ideasforward wants to give young creative people from around the world the opportunity to express new ideas of future societies through theirinnovative and visionary proposals.

We are an experimental platform seeking progressive ideas that reflect on emerging themes.

We want to break mental borders and put all the visions on the table.

Here, you can try an experiment, everything is possible!

 

AIM OF THE COMPETITION - 24H

A place where the time limit is used to stimulate your creativity.

This competition aims to present architectural answers in 24h to, social problems, humanitarian causes, or utopian themes of contemporary societies. It wants to put the creative minds in question about pre-defined concepts.

Commitment, perseverance, inspiration and hard work are all the necessary bases to develop a proposal that meets the premises that will be released regularly in the brief of the competition.

There is a period of registration, when it ends, starts the 24H competition!

You have 24H to develop a proposal that responds to the program contained on the brief that will only be available on the same day the competition starts.

Mário Chaves [Lisbon, 1965]

 

MC is an architect, Ph.D. in Architecture Theory in 'Usefulness of Architecture in the Information Society. He is Flexiexistentialist in personal and professional life attitude; University lecturer, project professional, an expert in the economic framework, and feasibility in architecture. Knight of the Order of Malta. He writes in the magazine ARQ.A and in the collection Essays of the Lusíada University. Curator of the Honorary Doctorate and the exhibitions of Nadir Afonso and João Charters de Almeida e Silva.

Daniel Mangabeira da Vinha holds a degree in Architecture and Urbanism from the University of Brasilia in 1999.

Founding Partner of BLOCO Associated Architects based in Brasília-DF.

2008/2010 - Cultural Director of the Brazilian Institute of Architects in Brasilia (IAB-DF).

2009/2011 - Board Member of the Athos Bulcão Foundation.

2012 Sworn in the Core77 Awards contest sponsored by the American magazine Core77 in New York.

Sworn in several architectural competitions in Brazil (Opera Prima, Codhab, CAU-TO, etc.)

2013 - Master of Arts in Architecture (MA.Arch) from the University of Westminster, London - with Distinction.

2014 - Represented Westminster University at the RIBA President's Award for Research, sponsored by the Royal Institute of British Architects - RIBA in London.

2018-2020 - President of CAU / DF.

Şevki Topçu

In his work, Sevki Topcu explores the aesthetic and political agency of the architectural form in relation to the post-digital human condition. He currently works as a Designer at Snøhetta in New York. Born in Turkey, Sevki Topcu attended Yildiz Technical University in Istanbul and worked at Salon Architects. Most recently he graduated from Harvard Graduate School of Design with a degree in Masters in Architecture.

Luciano Rocha de Andrades born in Porto Alegre, Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil.

He graduated from the Lutheran University School of Architecture in 2001. He is visiting Professor at CEDIM - Center for Higher Studies of Design in Monterrey, Mexico in 2010 and Professor at FAU UNIRITTER in Porto Alegre, Brazil.

Founder of Studio Paralelo Arquitetos, is currently one of the partners of the binational collective MAPA Arquitetos, a fusion of parallel studio with Maam studio of Montevideo, Uruguay. The production of the collective has been the object of many national and international awards, as well as participation in exhibitions, conferences, and seminars.

Gil Barbieri

studied architecture at FAU USP - Faculty of Architecture of the University of São Paulo, and at TU-e - Eindhoven University of Technology, after having studied Naval Engineering for three years at the Polytechnic School of the University of São Paulo. He currently works as an architect at Nitsche Architects.
